The project feature is a major component of the testing platform. Let's look in detail at what it is for, how to use it, and how to get the most out of it.
💡 Good to know: Your feedback is essential to help us improve projects and adapt them to your most specific needs. Feel free to share your use cases with us at [email protected].
No test project, no test
It is important to understand that the actions you take on the platform (saving a method, taking a note, contacting a laboratory) must be linked to a test project.
It is therefore essential to create a project to go further in using the platform.
How do I create a project?
You can create your project at each step where you need to select one or more.
When saving a method
For example, when saving a method, you will have to choose which project to save it for. But you can also create a new one and save it there:
When contacting one or more laboratories
You can also create a new project when contacting one or more laboratories:
Get an overview of your projects from the "Projects" page, accessible from the side navigation menu, on the left of your screen.
💡 Good to know: Projects are independent depending on the platform on which you created them. A project created on the clinical platform is not available on the preclinical platform, and vice versa.
Managing methods by project
Once your test project is created, use it to make it easier to manage and navigate methods during your searches.
Saving methods
Save your methods of interest by project, so you can easily find them later from the "Saved services" page.
Note that a method can be linked, saved, to several projects at the same time. In other words, you can select several of your projects when saving a method.
You can find and filter your saved methods from the "Saved services" page:
Taking notes
Take notes directly linked to your saved methods, when you save them or later from the "Saved services" page.
Take different notes on the same method, depending on the project for which it was saved.
Access and edit your notes from the "Saved services" page:
Managing laboratories by project
Contacting laboratories
You will also need to select a project when contacting one or more testing laboratories. This then lets you segment and filter laboratories by project from the messaging:
💡 Good to know: The project selected when contacting laboratories is personal, and will not be shared with the laboratories contacted. They will have access to the information contained in your request message.
Filtering conversations
Once the laboratory or laboratories have been contacted, you can find them on the "Messaging" page and filter your conversations with laboratories according to the project for which you contacted them!
💡 Good to know: Just like methods, a conversation with a laboratory can be linked to one or more projects.
Tracking your projects
Track your projects from the "Projects" page, and access all your ongoing projects. Access your saved methods and the laboratories contacted for each of your projects.
To archive a project, change its status from "In progress" to "Archived": in the "Status" column, click the "Modify" pencil, choose "Archived", then click "Save". An archived project moves to the "Your archived projects" table and is no longer offered when saving a method. Its conversations remain visible in the messaging.
